i was interested in these at one time. i was considering getting one of these http://www.bialettishop.com/MukkaMain.htm but i thought since i had a espresso machine already i didn't know if there would be any reason to get one. what is your opinion of the stovetop coffee maker?
depending on what type of espresso machine you have - you will likely get a 'cleaner' shot out of your machine as opposed to the stove top model. i like it because it is more conventional. I tend to use it for recipes where the flavor is not as dependent on a good crema. It's perfect for sharing a shot of espresso with guests. I have played with adding cinnamon and cardamom and other spices and i don't have to worry as much about whether the spices are going to affect my espresso pump
