A number of years ago, Ken and I attended a coffee expo in Seattle and were able to watch a barista prepare latte art. They did not use any utensils, it was all created by the way they poured the froth into the crema. Check out this webpage: espressovivace.com. Go into the gallery to see some of the art done there. If you go to Seattle, a visit to the Espresso Vivace is a must to fill your coffee craving.

That was really cool. I can't even make a leaf in my espresso. I think maybe I need to buy a new machine for that type of espresso art.

welcome aboard lois (or should i call you suzy)
even though I know you've been tagging along for awhile. Next time you plan a tour like that i wonder if you could make room for someone else.

The next Coffee Fest is in Atlanta June 1-3. We can always make room for one more. If thats too far to travel, we could wait till Nov. and go to Seattle again. First, Suzy has to sell a lot more pies before she can even think about travelling.
